The Macon County 911 center reported trees blown down on West Anderson Street in Oglethorpe and at the intersection of Spaulding Road and Travelers Rest Road in Montezuma.

A deep upper-level low along with an associated strong surface low and cold front swept through the region. By late afternoon, strong daytime heating across central Georgia resulted in a moderately unstable atmosphere and scattered severe thunderstorms.
