Washington State Patrol reported a debris flow partially blocking Highway 25 twelve miles south of Kettle Falls.
Wider weather episode
Periodic heavy rain and spring-time snow melt during April and early May produced saturated soil conditions over northeast Washington. Even during dry periods scattered debris flows continued to occur in the mountainous regions of northeast Washington through May before soil conditions dried out.
