What the National Weather Service wrote

The Wilkes County 911 center reported trees blown down at Alexander Street and Baltimore Road and along Baker Street in Washington.

The wider storm

A series of short waves traversing the region through the west to southwesterly upper-level flow, combined with a stalled frontal boundary across north and central Georgia, led to several days of unsettled weather with numerous reports of wind damage and isolated reports of large hail each day.

Began near Washington (33.7317, -82.7369).
