A wind gust of 37 knots was measured at Pulaski Shoal Light.

A strong low pressure system over the Ohio Valley and strong trailing cold front extending into the central Gulf of Mexico and associated pre-frontal trough approached the Florida Keys. Strong thunderstorms along the pre-frontal trough and moving rapidly northeast off Cuba's north coast produce widespread gale-force wind gusts throughout the Florida Keys coastal waters.
