Spotter reported water 4 feet deep crossing Highway 52 at the low water crossing in Winston.

Wider weather episode

Good low level moisture remained over the region with morning dew points over 60F and a boundary continued to remain near the Rio Grande Valley. A weak upper level trough helped to trigger afternoon thunderstorms which produced heavy rain in northwest Sierra county which resulted in flash flooding around Winston.
