The department of highways relayed reports of several trees down near the intersection of Kentucky Highways 556 and 173 in Lytten.

Wider weather episode

Multiple lines of showers and thunderstorms developed from early this afternoon through this evening ahead of a cold front moving from northwest to southeast. Strong to severe winds materialized underneath a few of these storms, resulting in downed trees in Montgomery, Estill, and Elliott Counties.
