A wind gust of 45 knots was measured at Pulaski Shoal Light.

Wider weather episode

A deep cyclonic circulation over the central Gulf of Mexico and Yucatan Peninsula moved northeast into the northeastern Gulf of Mexico. A tropical moisture plume was aligned from the western Caribbean Sea over the southeast Gulf of Mexico and south Florida. Numerous rounds of thunderstorms with multiple convective modes, including multicell clusters and isolated supercells, produced numerous areas of gale-force wind gusts.
