A peak thunderstorm wind gust of 67 mph was measured by the Pinto RAWS automated weather station between Rangely and Meeker.

A jet stream flow at the base of a Pacific disturbance which moved through the region enhanced thunderstorm development which resulted in some storms that produced strong outflow winds.
