A local fire department reported a tree limb was blown down onto a power line, causing it to fall and the power line to smoke.
Wider weather episode
A southeastward moving cold front interacted with a marginally unstable and sheared environment to produce scattered thunderstorms. A few of these storms became severe with isolated reports of wind damage, hail and even a brief tornado.
