A winter storm brought 6 to 8 inches of snow to the county.

Wider weather episode

A low pressure system tracked from the southeast United States to off the Middle Atlantic coast. Light snow overspread central New York during the morning hours and became heavy through the afternoon before tapering off by early evening. Snowfall amounts ranged generally between 5 and 10 inches.
