Event narrative
Widespread flash flooding occurred throughout the county from 3 to over 9 inches of rain. Almost 1000 structures were flooded. Two water treatment sewage plants sustained damage with thousands of acres of crops lost. Preliminary damage estimates are between 7 and 8 million dollars.
Wider weather episode
A long duration convective event along a stalled boundary occurred. This resulted in a major heavy rain and flooding event from 3 to over 8 inches of rain falling. Some storms become severe with damaging winds over 60 mph and isolated large hail.
