The Peach County 911 center reported trees and power lines blown down around the intersection of N. Miller Street and Parsons Street in Fort Valley and around the intersection of Highway 341 and Norwood Springs Road south of Fort Valley.

Wider weather episode

Strong daytime heating and a very moist air mass resulted in a moderately unstable atmosphere during the afternoon and early evening. Scattered severe thunderstorms produced several reports of damaging wind gusts across central and north Georgia.
