Strong Santa Ana winds impacted the Santa Clarita Valley in Los Angeles county. Some wind reports from the area include: Newhall Pass (gusts up to 67 MPH) and Saugus (gusts up to 58 MPH).
The wider storm
The first significant Santa Ana wind event of the season impacted sections of Ventura and Los Angeles counties. Northeasterly wind gusts between 60 and 75 MPH were reported.
