Event narrative

The Ibex wildfire which began on July 24th continued to burn through the month of August. It grew from 540 acres to 14,500 acres located 11 miles west of Twin Peaks Lookout. The Parker Mountain Mine Road was closed and several forest trails also were closed by the Salmon-Challis National Forest.
