The WYDOT wind sensor along Interstate 25 north of Kaycee recorded several wind gusts over 58 mph, including a maximum gust of 62 mph.
Wider weather episode
A fast moving north to south cold front swept across Wyoming early on October 26th. In areas favored for high winds by strong cold advection, high wind occurred. Wind gusts past 58 mph were reported in Greybull, Buffalo and along Interstate 25 north of Kaycee.
