Event narrative

Winds peaked shortly after 6 AM at 75 mph at the St. Paul Aiport. Minor erosion, roof damage and siding damage was documented by the local Weather Service Office. The ASOS at St. George Airport peaked at 61 kts around the same time.

Wider weather episode

A low pressure system rapidly strengthened as it moved across the northern Bering Sea. The low peaked at around 960 mb and utilized colder air over Russia to help mix down the strongest winds over the central Bering Sea.
