The National Weather Service in Boise measured six inches of new snow from the evening of the 22nd through the morning of the 23rd and received numerous reports of four to five inches from the public.

A moist northwest flow interacted with a frontal boundary producing areas of heavy snow across parts of Southwest Idaho.
