King Cove measured 10 hours of warning level or near warning level winds.

Wider weather episode

A cold front attached to a low near the Bering Strait passed through the Alaska Peninsula. Behind this system, high pressure quickly moved in over the Bering Sea. This brought strong northerly winds to the eastern Bering Sea and Alaska Peninsula.
