The NOS NWLON at Adak recorded a peak wind gust of 91 mph.

Wider weather episode

A low pressure system moved into the Bering Sea and intensified to 944 mb as it did so. This brought hurricane force winds to the Bering Sea and the Eastern and Central Aleutians.
