What EF1 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF1 is moderate damage: roofs badly stripped, mobile homes pushed off foundations or overturned, windows broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 86–110 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

This EF1 tornado produced damage north of Springville. Over a dozen structures had minor to moderate damage with the worst damage being two destroyed mobile homes and a garage being destroyed. Dozens of hardwood trees were either snapped off or uprooted.

The wider storm

Waves of low pressure moved along a strong cold front on November 5th, generating strong to severe thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours. Strong 850mb winds brought up plenty of moisture for the storms to work with and the storms produced some tornadoes, damaging winds, large hail, and flooding.

Began near Springville (38.9509, -86.6385).
