Visibility of 100 feet or less was reported by California Highway Patrol along State Highway 41 near the Nebraska Ave intersection. Several school districts had delayed openings due to dense fog.

Areas of dense fog formed once again overnight in the San Joaquin Valley as persistent high pressure brought clear skies, light winds and continued inversion conditions over the valley. The fog became dense in several locations during the early morning hours and resulted in several auto accidents along State Route 198 near Hanford. Several school districts had delayed openings and cancelled morning bus service as a result of the widespread dense fog on the morning of the 31st.
