Average snowfall totals across the county ranged from 4 to 6 inches. Broadcast media reported two men were killed when their pick-up truck slid off a bridge and into a creek on Dowd Road near Mount Carmel Road.

A surface low intensified off the Carolina coast, resulting in snow occurring over much of Central North Carolina. Bands of heavy snow developed, resulting in snowfall totals of 3 to 6 inches in some locations.
