Strong Santa Ana winds impacted the Santa Monica Mountains in Los Angeles county. The RAWS sensor at Malibu Hills reported northerly winds, gusting to 60 MPH.

Strong surface high pressure over the Great Basin generated strong Santa Ana winds across the mountains of Ventura and Los Angeles counties. North to northeast winds, gusting up to 70 MPH, were reported.
