Snowfall totals ranged between eight inches and eleven inches across the county. Very strong north to northwest winds of 30 to 50 mph affected the area, producing blowing snow and poor visibilities. Wards Corner reported 11.0 inches of snow. Norfolk International Airport reported 10.3 inches of snow. Ghent reported 8.0 inches of snow. Cradock reported 11.0 inches of snow. Downtown Portsmouth reported 8.3 inches of snow.

Strong low pressure tracking northward just off the East Coast produced between three inches and fourteen inches of snow across Eastern Virginia.
