The Sumter County Emergency Manager reported a carport lifted and tossed by the winds associated with a line of thunderstorms at a residence on Boo Cosby Road.

Wider weather episode

A weakening line of showers and a few thunderstorms ahead of a cold front sweeping southeast through central Georgia managed to produce winds strong enough to damage a carport in extreme southwestern Sumter County.
