Event narrative

One person was killed in an accident on Interstate 94 near Black River Falls. The driver of a U-Haul rear-ended a semi trailer and was killed in the accident. At least two other accidents occurred in the fog including a car being struck by a train. The automated weather observing equipment at the Black River Falls airport reported a visibility of a half mile or less from about 2 a.m. to 8 a.m.

At least three accidents occurred in dense fog across Jackson County during the early morning of March 28th.
