The Hancock County 911 center reported trees and a power line blown down on Springfield Road near Highway 15.

Wider weather episode

Widespread severe thunderstorms broke out across central and north Georgia during the evening hours of March 19th, through the early morning hours of the 20th as a warm front lifted north across the region ahead of a strong storm system developing across the lower Mississippi Valley.
