Event narrative
A National Weather Service survey team found an area of intense thunderstorm wind damage in Haralson County. Hundreds of trees were blown down in a swath over one mile long and 650 yards wide. The damage originated west of Highway 27 and north of Old Jacksonville Road, sweeping southward to the northwest side of the city of Haralson. Some trees fell onto and damaged homes and other structures. No injuries were reported.

Widespread severe thunderstorms broke out across central and north Georgia during the evening hours of March 19th, through the early morning hours of the 20th as a warm front lifted north across the region ahead of a strong storm system developing across the lower Mississippi Valley.
