The Georgia DOT reported a tree blown down onto I-20 east of mile marker 53. At least one vehicle struck the fallen tree resulting in one injury.

A strong surface pressure gradient associated with a deep surface low moving across the Tennessee Valley produced wind gusts between 35 and 55 mph across north and west Georgia.
