Freezing drizzle, gusty winds, snow and blowing snow resulted in reduced visibilities and severe driving conditions.

Wider weather episode

A very strong early March storm system moved across the northern Rockies during the first few days of the month. Strong jet dynamics, Pacific moisture aloft, along with a strong surface low across central Wyoming all resulted in heavy snow and strong gusty winds across portions of the Billings Forecast Area.
