A stated official reported that two inches of water was over Highway 619. The water was from Lily Creek and continued to rise during the time reported.

Low pressure advanced from southern Michigan to the east with a co-located cold front that pushed through the Ohio Valley during the evening hours on May 22, 2018. Ahead of the front, a pool of warm (temperatures lifted into the 80s) and moist (precipitable water >= 1.5) atmosphere produced scattered showers and thunderstorms, causing water to flow out of a creek and over a roadway in Russell County.
