Event narrative

A barn with a metal roof and a three sided carport was destroyed on Hickory Valley Road.

Additionally, siding was torn off a home and several trees were downed in the area.

Wider weather episode

A few thunderstorms became severe over the higher terrain on the Northern Cumberland Plateau and a small part of Southwest Virginia during the evening hours. The storms produced wind damage and some flooding.
