Event narrative
Hail fell along the path of a severe thunderstorm. The maximum hail size reported was quarter size 7 miles east of Pitchfork.
Wider weather episode
A shortwave trough moved across Wyoming and brought severe weather to northern portions of the state. There was a decent amount of shear with the system. As a result several funnel clouds were spotted. No tornadoes touched down however. Large hail also fell in many locations, including a maximum size of 1.50 inches near Ten Sleep.
