Event narrative

The Montgomery County Emergency Manager reported a large barn had portions of its roof blown off and two trees were blown down at the Braddy Onion Farms on Highway 221 north of Mount Vernon. Dime size hail was also reported at this location.

Wider weather episode

A moderately unstable airmass over the region resulted in widespread thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours. A few storms along an old outflow boundary produced damaging wind gusts across portions of central Georgia.
