Event narrative

A full road closure occurred in both directions along Colorado Highway 145 between mile markers 76 and 77 due to mud and water debris. The road was closed for over an hour before it reopened to one lane of traffic.

Wider weather episode

Subtropical moisture rotated around high pressure centered over the Central Plains and into western Colorado. This produced some thunderstorms with heavy rainfall in San Miguel County.
