Event narrative

A small amount of mud and water was reported over County Road 203 in the vicinity of Tripp Gulch Creek. Radar estimated around a half inch of rainfall within a short period of time in that area.

Wider weather episode

A disturbance embedded in the northwesterly flow moved across western Colorado and led to increased shower and thunderstorm activity. Some storms produced heavy rainfall in La Plata County within the 416 Wildfire burn scar.
