Thunderstorm winds blew down numerous tree limbs around town. A couple of the tree limbs knocked down nearby power lines.

Wider weather episode

With a stationary boundary in the area and numerous remnant outflows, scattered showers and storms developed, especially over southwestern Illinois. There were several reports of large hail, damaging winds and flash flooding.
