Winds estimated at 70 mph downed numerous trees across the county. One residence was also damaged by lightning.

Numerous instances of wind damage occurred across south central and southwest Alabama during the late afternoon and evening of June 28th as a derecho moved from north to south across most of the state of Alabama.
