A 49 year old woman was stripping bark off a tree in her yard when the tree was struck by lightning, injuring her. She was transported to a hospital where she died the next day.

Easterly flow and deep moisture produced scattered afternoon thunderstorms across the Nature Coast. A lightning strike from one of these storms killed a woman in Levy County.
