A severe thunderstorm downed trees on Route 220 in Thorndike.

Showers and some thunderstorms developed ahead of an approaching cold front on the afternoon of July 10th. Numerous cells became severe as they moved into higher dew point air over southern Maine with damaging winds reported in several towns.
