A report of tennis ball size hail near the intersection of Highway 29 and Highway 316 was received over social media.

Wider weather episode

A series of short waves moving through an unseasonably strong northwesterly upper-level flow pattern brought several rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms across north and central Georgia. One of these episodes moved across the region during the afternoon and evening producing numerous reports of large hail and damaging thunderstorm winds.
