Event narrative
The Stewart County Emergency Manager reported several small trees blown down along Highway 39C near Providence Canyon State Park. One of the trees brought down power lines.
Wider weather episode
A series of short waves moving through an unseasonably strong northwesterly upper-level flow pattern brought several rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms across north and central Georgia. One of these episodes moved across the region during the afternoon and evening producing numerous reports of large hail and damaging thunderstorm winds.
