The Barrow County Emergency Manager reported several trees blown from north of Winder to near Statham.

The wider storm

A series of short waves moving through an unseasonably strong northwesterly upper-level flow pattern brought several rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms across north and central Georgia. One of these episodes moved across the region during the afternoon and evening producing numerous reports of large hail and damaging thunderstorm winds.
