Event narrative

Light ice accumulations occurred across Carroll County during the early morning hours of January 26, 2008. Numerous accidents were reported county-wide. One fatality along with five injuries occurred as a result of one of the accidents.

Wider weather episode

An upper level disturbance moved over West Tennessee during the evening hours of January 25th through the morning hours of January 26th. Freezing rain or drizzle fell over the area as a result with some ice accumulation occurring.
