As Hurricane/Tropical Storm Olivia approached the Aloha State, swells in advance produced surf of 8 to 15 feet, with some areas as high as 20 feet, along the east-facing shores of the Big Island of Hawaii, Maui, Molokai, Lanai (including north-facing shores), Oahu, and Kauai (including some south-facing shores of both Oahu and Kauai). Any costs of damages to public or private property were not available. No significant injuries were reported.
