A waterspout developed just west of Dockweiler Beach.

Cold and unstable air associated with a powerful winter storm generated several reports of waterspouts across the inner waters of Southern California. One waterspout was reported off the Ventura county coast near Oxnard as well as two different reports near Point Mugu Naval Air Station. In fact, one of these waterspouts moved onshore across the Point Mugu Naval base and produced some minor damage. Other waterspouts were reported off of Palos Verdes and Dockweiler Beach.
