The Lake Palmdale RAWS sensor reported sustained winds between 45 and 49 mph with gusts to 65 mph.

Wider weather episode

A strong onshore flow produced gusty westerly winds across the Antelope Valley. Sustained winds between 25 and 50 mph with gusts to around 60 mph were reported. With such strong winds, areas of blowing dust and sand were a problem in some areas.
