Hail was reported by a restaurant directly on the edge of the river.

Thunderstorms developed as expected north of Lake Ontario across southern Ontario province. Storms just on the north side of the St. Lawrence River began to strengthen during the afternoon. The storms continued to strengthen as they approached the area with impressive lightning jumps and impressive reflectivity cores aloft that included 60 dbz over 30kft and 50 dbz to around 40 kft.
