Event narrative

High water was reported along Lamar Beach Road to 12th Street and along Palmetto Street from Hagy Drive to 8th Street in Lamar. High profile vehicles were able to move through the water.

Wider weather episode

A slow moving tropical wave moved into the middle Texas coast on September 14th and 15th. The tropical wave produced widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms. Periods of heavy rain caused flooding and flash flooding across the Coastal Bend both days.
