Media reported a tree fell on a mobile home on Moses Ct in Dallas on the morning of the 16th, killing a 3-month-old boy inside the home.

Tropical Cyclone Florence made landfall on the 15th and moved slowly west while weakening through the 16th. Gusty winds resulted in a few trees and power lines falling across portions of western North Carolina, with some trees falling on vehicles and structures.
